Dal palak

In order to prepare Dal palak recepie, you will require following ingredients:

Two cups moong dal, soaked in water for an hour
Two big bunches of chopped spinach
One chopped large, sized tomato
One medium sized chopped onion.
Five cloves garlic
Four small sized green chillies
One piece of ginger
Half-teaspoon turmeric powder
Half teaspoon chilli powder Salt to taste
Three teaspoons of ghee

Steps for preparing Dal palak:

Grind garlic, chillies, ginger and onion into a fine paste and mix red chillies and turmeric powder. Heat ghee, fry cumin seeds till brown, then add the paste, and fry till ghee separates. Add tomatoes and salt. Cook for 3 minutes. Then add soaked dal and 2 cups of water. Cover and boil until dal is tender. Add spinach and boil until spinach is done. Serve hot garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
