Bhindi ki karhi

We have provided some simple steps in order to prepare Bhindi ki karhi, which is one of the Indian recepies in vegetarian category.

In order to prepare this Indian recepie, bhindi ki karhi, you will require following ingredients:

250 grams Bhindi (Ladies-finger)
One teaspoon cumin seed dried and powdered
One-teaspoon turmeric powder
One-teaspoon red chilli powder
250 grams beaten curd
One teaspoon aniseed (freshly roasted and ground)
One and a half teaspoon coriander powder

Remove the head and tail of each Bhindi and rub it with a wet cloth to clean it. Then slit it lengthwise from the middle. Now mix all the spices, add a little water to make a thick paste. Then fill this paste in the slit in each Bhindi.

Now put enough ghee-clarified butter in a thick pan and fry the Bhindis lightly, and then cover it with a plate for some time. When the Bhindis turn soft, put them in a separate plate. Now beat the curd vigorously. Heat some water in a separate container and bring it to boiling point. Then add the beaten curd to it.

Take a speculate spoon and stir it frequently. Some people prefer adding a little besan to it. When the water and curd solution begins to boil vigorously, reduce the flame and allow simmering. Put Bhindis into it. When the Bhindis are fully tender and well blended with the curd, mixture seasons it with asafetida and cumin seeds, roasted in liberal quantity of ghee. Now add Salt and Chillies to it and serve it hot with Rice or Chapattis.

Although this recepie is simple to prepare, you will have to go through each steps carefully. Hope you like this bhindi ki karhi, which is one of well-known vegetarian recepies in Indian food.
